A simple, cute, objective tracker for those of us who take daily medication!
For those of us who struggle with mental illness, lockdown has been especially challenging. If you're like me and you lost your job to Covid, the days just blend together like a massive lump of time. I have no idea what day it is 😜
Naturally, my depression and anxiety have worsened in this time, which was initially compounded by the fact that I kept forgetting to take my medication! So I made this chart to keep track, and you can use it too if you like!
The decision to start, alter, or end a psychiatric drug program is one that only you can make with the help of a licensed professional. I am not a licensed professional! But for me personally, I can say I would not be here today if it weren't for the help I get from my SSRI, and despite the openness with which people talk about mental illness today, I still feel embarrassed about it. If you take a daily pill to help you stay above board, I hope this little chart is helpful to you!
This chart is intended to help you keep track of pills you are already taking under the supervision of a doctor. Please consult with a doctor before starting, altering, or ending a medical regimen. I am a person who struggles with anxiety and depression—I am NOT a licensed professional!

What is EFT?
Short for "Emotional Freedom Technique," EFT is a practice that involves tapping acupressure points on the body while discussing emotional patterns and releasing stuck energy and old information associated with them. You can learn more about it here.
Who is Sammy?
Sammy Raymond (he/him) is a certified EFT practitioner and queer advocate from Oakland, CA. His practice is based in helping individuals find and move from their truth, exploring what blocks we each hold in between us and the best experience that we have to offer ourselves and each other. Bringing an empathetic understanding and reflective approach, he helps individuals understand where their narrative stories are rooted and what's going on beneath the surface. Beyond the history that we hold as individuals and the history that we share with others is a beautiful life that we are designing in the present moment. Sammy is committed to helping each of us access that freedom. Certified in EFT from the Sophia School of Living Arts, trained counselor from NFHC in AZ, Yoga Teacher 200 YTT at Vertical Soul Yoga, and Integrated Intuitive Studies with the Gryffin Institute.
What happens during a session?
Once you book, Sammy will reach out to you via email to schedule a skype/zoom/facetime session for as soon as is convenient for you.
The 1 hour long session involves Sammy talking to you about your fears and anxieties while guiding you through tapping patterns on your body. For example, through discussion we discover that you are struggling with your self worth, and guide you through tapping your cheekbones, collarbones, and wrists in a pattern, while locating where that belief started and beginning to create an affirming "I am enough." If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email us! (email@example.com)
What if I can't afford it?
While Sammy's standard rate is $50/hr, no one will be turned away for lack of funds! The lowest listed rate on this sliding scale is $20, however if you are unable to pay that amount, please send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Sammy will work something out with you.
Is this therapy?
While Sammy is a very gifted EFT practitioner, it's important to note that he is not a doctor, psychologist, or "medical professional." His goal in offering this service is to extend the reach of the Emotional Freedom Technique, which has personally benefited him and his clients. EFT is part of holistic body/mind healing, which can act as a beautiful addition to a "standard" therapy practice.
It is our belief that everyone can benefit from EFT, whether they are currently seeing a therapist or not, but it shouldn't be considered a substitute. In Sammy's own words:
"The things I work out in therapy I can complete in EFT, and the things I discover in EFT I can take to therapy."
And in Chloe's personal experience:
"In my EFT session with Sammy, I learned that the root of a lot of my self esteem issues was my relationship with a narcissistic family member. This had literally never occurred to me before, even in all my years of therapy! I took this realization to my therapist the next week and we both felt like, finally...this all makes sense."If you feel you need medical help from a psychologist or psychiatrist, please find one in your area. A guide to finding low cost medical mental health care can be found in the Weirdo Braino Instagram story highlights.
